"Moon-2015" project of the Institute of Biomedical Problems (IBMP) of the Russian Academy of Sciences

The first in history eight-day isolation experiment involving female volunteers imitating a flight to the Moon with completing a full orbital revolution around it and consequently returning to Earth.
"Moon-2015" project started on October 28th. Six female IBMP employees volunteered to participate. The experiment took place in Moscow, in the same module where "Mars-500" experiment has been held, now refitted with upgraded hardware.
The primary objectives of the "Moon-2015"are studying the process of a woman’s organism adaptation to conditions of isolation within a hermetically sealed volume while modeling an interplanetary flight to the Moon as well as gathering data on health conditions of the cosmonauts using full analogues of the scientific equipment installed onboard of the ISS.
